The Bavarian environmental management and audit program (BUMAP) has been available since the beginning of this year. This program supports companies and municipalities in Bavaria in launching and re-certifying environmental management systems. The funding can be ideally used for changeover to the revised ISO 14001:2015 which is pending in many companies and/or the new EMAS regulation. In this context, Arqum supports various companies and municipalities as project managers of networks in which companies are prepared for certification in compliance with the revised standards.
On 22nd June 2017, a new network was launched in cooperation with Thüga SmartService GmbH as the project sponsor. The participating companies of the Thüga network will be introduced to the requirements of the revised standards and prepared for re-certification in two joint workshops as well as during two consultation appointments. All participants receive training certificates on the revised standard requirements, a status quo report on the current state of their environmental management systems and instruments for implementing the revised requirements. Due to the considerable demand, Arqum is already planning a further round of projects with Thüga Smart Service GmbH for autumn 2017.
In addition to cooperation with Thüga Smart Service GmbH there are further projects to be kicked off shortly. Under the “econ solutions” EMAS network, hospitals will be prepared for the EMAS re-certification as of July 2017. Arqum is again providing two workshops and two individual consultation appointments. At the same time, another network will start up in the form of the “Bavarian brewers’ association” environmental management network. Here, Arqum will be preparing Bavarian breweries on the latest EMAS requirements. Both projects should be completed by the summer of 2018.
