Energy-efficiency network Munich – upper Bavaria

Closing event for energy-efficiency network Munich – upper Bavaria:

On 30th June 2016, Hirschvogel Umformtechnik Gmbh in Denklingen hosted the closing event of the energy efficiency network in Munich (Upper Bavaria). The results of the network were presented. The participating companies achieved an increase in energy efficiency of 14.0% and a reduction of CO2 emissions of 11.6% between 2008 and 2015. All in all, these companies saved approx. 90 GWh and avoided 25,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions through these measures.

Thus, the network has exceeded by far the energy efficiency average increase of German industry. This was around 5.6% (0.8 % per year) between 2008 and 2015.

Within the last three years, there have been nine network meetings on various energy-related issues chaired by Arqum GmbH. From an energy-related point of view, the networking was supported by the Forschungsgesellschaft für Energiewirtschaft mbH (FfE GmbH) [Energy Research Society for the Energy Industry].

Due to the positive results and effective and target-oriented cooperation in the network, the closing event was not celebrated as the end of the network but rather as the starting signal for the next network-phase.
