UFOPLAN Research Project on “Further Development of the EU EMAS Regulation and its Implementation Nationally“:
On behalf of the Federal Environment Office / The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Protection of Nature, Construction and Reactor Safety, Arqum has been implementing a new research project for further development of the EMAS regulation which deals with current and future amendments to the EMAS regulation and the User Guide. Amongst the aims – and with the involvement of national and international experts and users – are those to develop the technical foundations for future amendment projects and to submit concrete proposals for German environmental policies. New developments involved with the ongoing EMAS amendment for EMAS organizations and other interested parties are also to be analysed, evaluated and prepared. In addition, pilot projects for launching EMAS in multi-site operations are planned. The project is scheduled to run until the end of 2019.
